Did Maersk Tanker pay to take migrants from their tanker?Prosecutor accuses in the court.

The Prosecutor’s office of Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, accused NGO Mediterranea Saving Humans of receiving money from a shipping company MAERSK after a commercial agreement between the above mentioned parties, to transfer migrants from tanker MAERSK ETIENNE to NGO’s boat in Sep 2020. 

27 migrants were picked up by tanker on Aug 4 in Gulf of Gabes, Mediterranean, SW of Malta, and tanker couldn’t disembark them for 37 days, because all coastal States in the region refused to accept them. 

On Sep 11 they’ve been transferred to the NGO on Sep 12 they were disembarked at Pozzallo port, Ragusa, Sicily.
